Using songs to teach

As teachers we must try to be as creative as possible, using songs to teach grammar points, vocabulary and context is a great idea to catch the student´s attention. But we can not use just a song, we must select it very carefully. But how can we select a song? Three elements must be considered: clarity, rhythm and popularity. Among the activities which we can do with a song, we can mention the next ones:

Identify the point:
    By circling
    Underlining
    Highlighting

Complete an item
     Fill the blanks
  

Analyze the song
      Looking for a meaning
