Why:

        They give your audience something to take away from your presentation, to review later.

What:

         Key points and graphics to allow a more complete explanation.

When:

          In most cases, you are better off holding the handout until you are finished presenting.

Using songs to teach

As teachers we must try to be as creative as possible, using songs to teach grammar points, vocabulary and context is a great idea to catch the student´s attention. But we can not use just a song, we must select it very carefully. But how can we select a song? Three elements must be considered: clarity, rhythm and popularity. Among the activities which we can do with a song, we can mention the next ones:

Identify the point:
    By circling
    Underlining
    Highlighting

Complete an item
     Fill the blanks
  

Analyze the song
      Looking for a meaning
